My camcorder video I took of my Congo African Grey Parrot. Experts regard the African Grey Parrot as one of the most intelligent birds. African Grey Parrots are classed alongside the most intelligent animal species. They perform many cognitive tasks at the level of dolphins, chimpanzees, and even a human toddler. One notable African Grey is N’kisi, who in 2004 already had a vocabulary of over 950 words and was noted for creative use of language. You can hear my African Grey say “sit down” or “settle down” and “shut up” as well as other sounds in this video. African Grey Parrots come from the rainforests of West and Central Africa.
